Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam was a simple person who attained heights remaining humble all the time. He could touch the sky of glory with his feet on the ground. Thus to reflect his personality and achievement, the concept: Reaching sky with feet on earth. The site I chose for this project is the burrial ground of Dr. Kalam in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu. The architecture style reflects a very may modern design which can be a little controversial in a setting like Rameswaram. But I didn't want anchor Dr. Kalam in the heritage and the past of his birthplace. He always wanted to advance in every field, so why not his memorial.
